George Stephanos

After more than twenty-two years of service with The Coca-Cola Company as one of their senior aviation captains, George Stephanos has recently retired and joined the JANAIR team directing his interests to the development of small businesses, while also providing aviation consulting and pilot services. He has logged over 14000 flight hours with extensive experience in global flight operations in most Gulfstream-type aircraft.

George’s aviation consulting experience extends to aircraft and crew scheduling, safety, ISBAO audits, security, project management, budgeting, completions, demonstration & acceptance flights, operations manuals, newsletters and PowerPoint presentations.

As a co-developer of the original BART business aviation software system, George also has experience in software development for aviation maintenance & inventory.

During his service in the US Air Force, he worked as an air traffic controller and master instructor in communications networks – with an emphasis on cryptography and computer software.  He was involved in the first phases of the development of the internet during his military years as well

George has been married 35 years and has four children and seven grandchildren.  In his spare time he’s an officer and model airplane enthusiast for the local model airplane club.
